Redesign of the Les Électrons Libres association website

Les Électrons Libres is a popular education association that makes science accessible to everyone, at human height. People experiment, handle and build, in schools, libraries and community centres.

The job was done by two. Otaké.Design.Lab carried the brand identity, the visual guidelines and the mockups; Openiera came in alongside on the WordPress build and on the parts that go beyond what a theme can do.

Those bespoke sections are the ones carrying what the association is about. A map of the places it has already been to, its pins covering the Hauts-de-France and the Belgian Hainaut, with an arrow saying it can come elsewhere too. A workshop catalogue that filters by school cycle and by theme, so a teacher finds what suits their group without reading everything. And a form that starts by asking who it is talking to, a school, a local authority or an individual, rather than putting the same questions to everyone.

The rest follows the studio's visual stance, where science is told in graph paper, rulers and annotated spiral notebooks, far from laboratory imagery.
